Diversity: Which CEOs and supervisory boards are really serious about it?

At this point, we have repeatedly called for greater diversity on the boards of management and supervisory boards. However, this is not just about the right mix of experts. In the spirit of good personal governance, diversity also has a personal dimension: Boards of Management and supervisory boards that not only exchange ideas with their peers, but also with scientists, politicians or representatives of civil society, receive a variety of impulses – and thus carry a”personal diversity” into their bodies (see also the Dax Diversity Ranking of VARD and FAS Research).

Artificial intelligence: Streibich, Degenhart and Ploss in discourse

In this context, we find a commitment in broad expert groups such as the“Platform Learning Systems”, initiated by the Ministry of Research and the Academy of Engineering Sciences (acatech), particularly commendable. It brings together various experts to discuss artificial intelligence and develop recommendations for strengthening Germany as an AI location. Among the members from the business community are Karl-Heinz Streibich, a multi-supervisory board member, and Elmar Degenhart (Conti) and Reinhard Ploss (Infineon), CEOs. We are convinced that the insights and food for thought benefit not only them – but also their companies. And in the end hopefully also the location Germany.
