After eight years as Chairman of the Supervisory Board, John Feldmann (69) resigns from his position at the forklift and warehouse technology specialist Kion. The former BASF board member announced that he would leave the board after the Annual Meeting in May, the company announced, praising Feldmann’s achievements. In his aegis, Kion had “set up his Management Board in a diverse, international and sustainable manner” and “further developed the composition of the Supervisory Board with a view to the strategic challenges of digitization”.

Michael Macht becomes new Chairman of the Supervisory Board

CEO Gordon Riske emphasized that Feldmann had “played a decisive role in shaping the implementation of the Corporate Governance Code within the Group”. Former Porsche CEO Michael Macht, who has been a member of the supervisory board since October, is to become the new head of the supervisory board. In his new role, the 58-year-old will “tie in with the long-term continuity at the top of our Supervisory Board,” said Riske. Power sits on five other supervisory boards, including the board of Weichei Power. In addition to his function at Kion as a member of the Supervisory Board of the Hornbach Group, John Feldmann is also active in the Hornbach Group and is also committed to good corporate governance, for example by commenting on the draft of the new Corporate Governance Code.
