Professor and Indus Supervisory Board member Nadine Kammerlander is the youngest member of the six-member Executive Board of the Association of Supervisory Boards in Germany (VARD). The physicist and business economist, who discussed the topic “Supervisory Board is not a question of age” on the panel at the German Supervisory Board Day (DART) in June, has headed the Chair for Family Businesses at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar near Koblenz since the end of 2015. In particular, it should be involved in the development of VARD with the topics of governance and family businesses.
VARD board: Wiedmeyer replaces Breuer
In addition, board member Volker Wiedmeyer has recently become one of two managing directors, replacing VARD founding member Manfred Breuer, who resigned his mandate for private reasons. The VARD board and the presidium – consisting of Hans-Joachim Körber and Dietmar Kuhnt – thanked Breuer “for his great commitment in the years of construction”.
